Adverts

Now that the forum is nearing its first month of existence, you will begin to experience adverts appearing when you are a guest. Hopefully though, they should disappear once you have logged in. Unfortunately, unless I want to pay a fee there is nothing I can do about this. It is the price we pay for having a free forum. They have to earn money to keep this project going.

If any of you experience adverts after you have logged in can you please let me know by PM and I will check the settings.

I keep getting adverts for "love bullets" from someone called Eric.

Please can this be stopped !!!!

There is nothing to say against some adverts, as long as they do not lay over the forum. Maybe they can have a place to the right ore left of it.

The idea of google (with the "add sence-program" for example) is to bring adverts that fits to the content of a site. This can be interessting for the users. So dont pay for takeing the adverts off the site - there is no need to. Smile

I think, if i have understood correctly that they will appear as pop ups, but they should disappear once you have logged in.

ohhh, in that case Mez I have a problem with spam. Apparently Eric is not happy with the size of his "love bullets" and wishes to increase the size of them.

Can anyone help him ?

PS. I can deal with a few pop ups, this is a great forum, thank you for all your hard work.
It's amazing what you have done in a few weeks, things that other forums that have been running for ages, have not been able to achieve.

... and a few adverts is a small price to pay I think.

Thanks guys, but without all your ideas and support and of course your messages then half the forum wouldn't be here.

Thanks should really go to Gemma for finding forumotion, I checked out four other forum prividers and believe me, they do not offer nearly as much as forumotion do and they were a lot more complicated to maintain as well. She set the basic forum up and I just hi-jacked it.
