New Side Winder mod
Hi folks
This is my latest attempt at modding sidewinder.
It has.........
1. snipers bullets that spawn needles when they hit something.
2. Mines that can be dropped from MC using the flash light, but make sure you are running when you do it !!
3. Extra weapons effects that can be triggered from the vehicles by using the flash light button.
a) the ghost will jump but do not fall all the way from the top of the map without using the jump function to slow your fall or you will die
b) carpet bomber shees. They now release a cluster of sticky plasma grenades as well as the usual weapons
c) turrets and both hogs have a needle defensive shot (but to be honest, so far I've hit nothing with it)
d) Scorpions have a massive burst of plasma that is vaguely effective !!!!
4. All ports are marked and you can access and use the area in the middle and at the sides of the map. The only way down is through the two vents.
The map supports snipers and shotties as well as a heavy weapon version so the map cycle is currently

There is of course a down load that can be obtained from our downloads section.

but it is not necessary to have it to play as I have not included many changes in the way the map looks, it's still a good idea to install it though.

I have played it with Gemma today and can vouch for not NEEDING the map, but as always, its better with it

I played today for some hours on it. If behaves strange, if you ask me. Tankshots have allmost no effect. Sniperbullets sometimes kill fast - sometimes not. It gives me the impression as if everyone would lag - but their ping is ok. I dont know - maybe i played too long no halo...

I'm sorry to hear that Alex. I can't think why the normal weapons should do that. Maybe it's a case of too many modifications ! Has anyone else had this problem ?

Hmmm not that I have noticed, but then again I may have been distracted by all the prity lights. I will take closer note when im next on Gemma and let you know if I see the same as Alex.

After playing now again on this mod, i notice less strange behavior. It was fun. Maybe i will learn it.

Glad you enjoyed it Alex and also that the strange behavior has stopped !! I've really been enjoying the server and find the jumping ghosts quite lot of fun. They will feature in other maps from now on !!!
