ZOMBIES have landed in DTK clan

With an awful lot of help from members of the POQ clan I have managed to get a zombie map up and running in one of our servers.

Phasor has been uploaded and the gametype and script allows for Zombie maps to be played.

So far, I have only put on a Gephy map.

I watched other Zombie servers and seasoned players know the areas of the map where they can camp.

I think that camping is to be avoided (I know Pat hates it) so I have placed some ports around the wires in the Gephy map. These will take any players who decide that they fancy camping up there to the bottom of the map.

I will place a couple of ports to allow players to come back up but that is in development (I am too tired to do it tonight).

There is no falling damage on the map so you can quite happily fall to the bottom to deal with any trapped humans or Zombies.

Please post any questions and I will try my best to answer them.

The Gephy map has been updated and I have added other maps now too.

They are best played with stock maps.

Please feel free to post any suggestions about how they could be improved

The damnation map needs a bit of work.
I have removed falling damage but there is no way up from the pit it you falling in it.
I will be removing the ammo spawns from the main camping areas in the map to try and stop the excessive camping that seems to happen with a zombie server.
The other options that I am considering is using ports to block these places off and also limiting the amount of ammo that the weapons can hold.

What does anyone else think ?

Could you give the zombies nades? Just to help out with the camping thing. A shower of zombee nades might dislodge campers.

I have updated the maps tonight with the exception of Longest.

I may remove that completely

Hopefully most of the camping issues have been sorted out.

Ports have been put in place to stop players getting there or ammo spawns have been removed.

Hangemhigh needs a bit of work still, the spawns need to be spread out for the Zombie team

I'll try and get that done tomorrow and get BG up and running too.

Update

Hangemhigh and longest have been modded a little bit.

Hang has had the zombie spawns moved about and some ports added to the favourite camp sites, so beware !

Great job Gemma, I think you do make something about Danger canyon because when human camp on bridge (other side Twisted Evil ), it's almost imposssible for zombie to kill them .



On beavercreek, I have try something when I was the last human, was up to the blue base, almost impossible to kill me but I do said only 3 zombie was running after me.

Plus, if you go by ladder first and after jump on the ledge after (on the other side of the bridge), it's an awesome camping site and zombie die all time when they try to kill human on this place.

I'm impatient to see how Bloodgulch work in Zombieland Wink Very Happy .

I have reduced the amount of ammo that the weapons carry on all maps and I have removed certain ammo spawns. This means that camping can still take place but sooner or later the human player will run out of ammo and will be forced to go and find more.

I could put some ports to the ledge in dc if you really think its needed.

I have added prisoner now too

Yo Gemma, two maps got graphic problems, it's hangemhigh and prisoner .

I'm not the only one to saw texture problem, all players got this problem .

That's really odd.
It must be because of the port markers. That's the only thing I've added to the maps.
I've not seen that effect before at all.
I'm not really sure how to fix it !

Who else has had the same problem ?

Pat, you'll be pleased to know that bloodgulch is up and running.
I've moved the zombie spawns to give them some cover. Let me know if any other changes need to be made to stop excessive camping !

Ok Gemma, just left the server now, need to fix beaver creek again, because, where you add purple light, it's possible to going up again Twisted Evil .

And if you go there, zombie never can't get you so need to put some light again, I can show you when you want.

About Blood gulch, great map but hard for zombie to kill human cause they chase human almost all time uncovered and if humans are good, zombie die .

About infinity, humm, need to close some area or zombie will never meet humans LooooooooooooL .

ok lol, that all.

Oh, yes, forgot one thing, I have kicked you (mistake Crying or Very sad ) so,I'm sryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ...

Will the bottom of the map be made clear, so that you can see each other clearly like on the other maps? Then also, will it be purple teleports?

Nope mark, the bottom have fog and if your graphic card is good, you will see players like brightless shadow. cyclops



Howewer, teleports are present (purple lights) and you can get up if you jump on it. Twisted Evil

The following maps have been updated

Beaver Creek - more ports added to stop camping on that one pesky ledge

Chill Out - more ports added on both the popular camping beams. (try it now Pat, I dare you)

Damnation - Shot guns and snipers removed

Hang em High - Spawns for Zombie team moved a bit (one was spawning inside the Map model a bit) Still not sure what is causing the weird graphic effects for some people.

Yesterday was a bad day for me cause of my high ping but I saw Eric get up so it still possible Twisted Evil Wink .



More lights are needed lol! .

And in bloodgluch, it's really hard for zombie if they start alone against human with good skill with pistol who wait zombie because no protection when you run everywhere on field Evil or Very Mad Embarassed . It's same on bottom in Gephy ( fog don't help so much scratch ).

Rat race and possibly Damnation
yes these maps are small and you have probably never tried modding them but they might just be the maps that might work
if not then regard this post as just a suggestion
