Looks great Pat. Ty for your post. But because of the fact, that bungie never again after halo2 made the effort to bring the new games to the computer, i cant belive, that they will do it for this one...

and if they do bring it to PC you can almost bet that you will have to buy a gold windows live subscription to play online like Halo 2

At first when i was told about a new Halo game i was thinking is it a continuation form Halo 3 or is it an inbetween game e.g. what happens between the events of halo and Halo 2
i then thought wether it could be a prequel like Reach but of how the covanent was formed
so it is interesting to no that it is a remake of the game that started it all

After 5 years it decides 2 suffer from the Red Ring Of Doom (or RROD for short). It lasted that long because i really looked after it and didint use it for hour upon hour. when i get a full time Job i might be able to buy a new one but at the moment my wage will be focused on going to see my girlfriend and to keep my scooter running

Interesting.

I have a few thoughts on this. Firstly I can understand the idea of re-vamping the original game and re-releasing it for the current generation of players.

But my second thought, and maybe whats more synical about it is that people have been re-skinning the halo universe for years, over on modhalo there are scores of people that have re-skinned the entire game and made it look better than Bungie did.

Having said that, I hope its a success, and I hope they bring something new to the game and game engine. Maybe some sort of free online match system for owners of legit halo 1.

well from the video i saw quite a few things that they are bringing from the new games etc. e.g. the assualt rifle has the same skin as the one from halo Reach which is an MA5K (the 1 in halo is an MA5B)
the covernant have been remoddled to the Halo reach builds and skins
the Vehicles e.g. the Warthog and pelican look like slightly improved versions of the Halo 3 Warthog and Pelican variants
the interesting thing (for any1 who has played campaign) is will the flood be based on the Halo 3 variants or will they 2 be remodeled

Thats my point though james, you say quite rightly that the assault rifle looks like the one from H3, and the new re-vamped models look better.

People have been injecting H3 models into the H1 engine for yonks, I dont mean to piss all over the parade of a new game, dont get me wrong I love halo, I just feel that maybe people are trying to charge money for what hardcore modders have been doing for years already

i didnt say that the assault rifle was from Halo 3 Nick i said it was from Halo reach but with Halo's magazine clip (it had 60 rounds of ammo per clip meanwhile the other assault rifles Halo 3, ODST and Reach had 32 rounds per clip(halo 2 didnt have the rifle it did not feature in it))

apparently alongside the Halo Combat evolved re-release there is going to be a halo 4 which will be the start if a new trilogy

Hi Mr Bean counter. I got an idea.
Get a mass of players hooked on the game by giving the multiplayer away for free at the start. Then tie any future titles into a pay to play. Whats more we can tie future games exclusively to our own platform.

O yeh. Let them mod the game too so that any future product devel;opment is done for free too!

halo 4 is halo reach ?

no halo reach was just halo reach (it takes place in september 2552)
Halo 4 is said 2 pick up where Halo 3 left off (3rd of January 2553). The planet that you see at the end of halo 3 that the ship that the Master Chief is onboard is drifting 2wards is supposidly where Halo 4 will be set (he will most likely be having 2 find a way of the planet(shield world))
If ur wondering how i no all this there is a Wikipedia dedicated to the Halo Universe so i looked @ the timeline etc.

LETS GET READY TO UPDATE OUR COMPUTERS!
